Sourav Ganguly is in the UAE to fine-tune the IPL 2020, which starts on September 19.
IPL 2020 has been moved abroad to the United Arab Emirates due to the high incidence of Coronavirus in the country.
Ganguly was accompanied by some local dignitaries and the former president of the League, Rajiv Shukla, among others. Satisfied with the arrangements made by the local authorities, the former India captain shared some pictures from his visit and wrote: "The famous Sharjah stadium is ready to host IPL 2020".
Most of the players and support staff from all eight teams arrived in the UAE last month to start the pre-season after a long break due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Players have been training for nearly a month now and are eager to go all the guns at the tournament and put a smile on the faces of the fans who are impatiently waiting for the tournament to begin.
Ganguly left for the UAE last week to oversee preparations ahead of the 2020 IPL Championship - which will be held in three venues in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah from September 19 to November 10.
The inaugural match of the IPL 2020 tournament will be held in Abu Dhabi between defending champions Mumbai Indians and last year's runners-up the Chennai Super Kings.
Sharjah Cricket Stadium will host a total of 12 league matches, starting with the Rajasthan Royals vs Chennai Super Kings on September 22.
