Moscow:

Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said, Wednesday, that the first batch of the Russian vaccine against COVID-19 is expected to be launched within two weeks.

On Tuesday, the Russian Ministry of Health recorded the world's first Corona virus vaccine. The vaccine, called Sputnik V, was jointly developed by the Aesthetic Research Institute and the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"Within two weeks, the first batch of the vaccine will be launched," Murashko said at a press conference.

Murashko stressed that "the vaccination will be voluntary anyway. Some doctors who already have immunity to the Corona virus, there are about 20 percent, ... they think they do not need to be vaccinated, it is up to them to make a decision."

The Minister of Health added that while covering the needs of the Russians is a priority, the vaccine could also be exported abroad.
