How does the vaccine work?

The Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine was the first coronavirus vaccine to show promising results in the later stages of the testing process.

This is a new type called mRNA vaccine that uses a small portion of the genetic code for a pandemic virus to teach the body how to fight Covid-19 and build immunity.

The Food and Drug Administration said: "The vaccine contains a small piece of mRNA from the [Covid-19] virus, which directs cells in the body to make the" spike "protein characteristic of the virus."

When a person receives this vaccine, his body makes copies of the spike protein, which does not cause disease, but makes the immune system learn to respond defensively, which results in an immune response against [Covid-19]. "

The vaccine is given as two injections, 21 days apart, and the second dose is a booster shot. Immunity begins to work after the first dose but reaches full effect seven days after the second dose.
