The US records the daily record of nearly 80,000 new Covid-19 cases
US COVID-19 cases: The number of deaths over the course of 24 hours has been broadly stable since the beginning of the fall, at between 700 and 800.
Citing statistics from fitness authorities in neighboring countries, the Covid Tracking project announced 83,010 new cases on Friday.
Thursday and the same time on Friday, 79,963 infections were recorded, bringing the total number since the start of the epidemic to nearly 8.5 million in the country.
The worst outbreaks are currently in the North and Midwest, and about 35 of the 50 states are seeing an increase in case numbers.

The wearing of masks, which a study showed could prevent an additional 130,000 deaths if followed widely, became embroiled in US politics in the run-up to the November 3 presidential election.
American surgeon General Jerome Adams has warned that hospital admissions are increasing, but death rates are dropping due to better patient care.
It comes as drug giants AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson resume US vaccine trials after regulatory approval.
The World Health Organization also warned that international sites in the northern hemisphere are at a "critical juncture."
Over the past week, the United States recorded 441,541 new infections - the largest increase in seven days since the end of July.
The number of people who have died after contracting the Coronavirus has also increased steadily over the past six days, but it is still well below the peak of more than 2,000 daily deaths reported in April.
