IPL 2020: “Training in the bubble is completely different,” says yuzvendra chahal

yuzvendra chahal said he is not considering winning the Violet Hat, his only goal is to contribute to the team's victory.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player Yuzvendra chahal feels that this year's IPL (Indian Premier League) will be very different from the usual challenges players face due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to the spinning factor, players who are mentally prepared for a biologically safe environment will have the upper hand in the competition.

Speaking to ANI, Chahal said: “Training and living in the bubble are completely different but we train and we need no more. These are not normal times and even before positive cases inside the bubble, precautions were at the highest level.”

When asked about staying in a biologically safe bubble throughout the year during the international tour, Shahal replied: "Yes, I am mentally prepared to stay in the bubble until the situation returns to normal."

chahal also noted that it's not about individual glory and he wants the team to do a good job. He added, "I don't think much about the purple hat. I just want to do well and contribute in any way I can with my team whenever I get the chance to perform."

The 30-year-old feels RCB has a balanced squad and the arrival of Australia's limited captain Aaron Finch will add a lot of depth to his side hitting lineup.

"We have a very balanced squad with some great additions to our squad and definitely adding Aaron Finch gives us more depth in the hitting department," said Shahal.

chahal, who has cemented his place in the India Limited squad, has yet to make his debut in the longest running game. The ultimate goal of the spinning game is to win the country’s World Cup and represent India in tallest fashion.
