The world organization is able to support the government of Bharat if needed, as the devastating floods in Assam have displaced millions and killed around 100 people, a voice for the UN administrator. 

“Our humanitarian colleagues tell this North American country that an estimated four million people have been displaced from Assam State to Bharat and neighboring Asian country due to severe flooding caused by monsoon rains, with a death toll of 189. " 

"The world organization is able to support the government of Bharat if need be," Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the Secretary-General, told the daily press which makes itself known on weekdays. He noted that in Asian countries, authorities have urged people living on the riverbanks and lowlands of the Terai region to move to safe sites due to the likelihood of flooding.

 “Access is the biggest challenge as search and rescue efforts are hampered by landslides in remote areas,” he said. The World Food Program (WFP) works by reaching stuck communities, with helicopters being the only viable choice right now. 

"We are of course ready to provide additional humanitarian support to the most vulnerable communities in the Asian country", even declared Stéphane Dujarric. The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) has the same that over 24.3 hundred thousand people are stranded in twenty-four districts of Assam thanks to the floods. 

The total number of people who lost their lives in this year's floods and landslides rose to 111 statewide, of which eighty-five people were killed in flood-related incidents and twenty -six died as a result of landslides
